St. Martin's Home: Revalidation
Introduction
Before 2000 the White and Yellow Cross only had visiting Physical Therapists. BZV has made a budget available for a permanent physical therapist and since then the department has been growing rapidly. The purpose of this department is not only to serve the in-house clients but also to support day care for elderly for those in the districts that need more special attention in the near future.

The Paramedical department offers a variety of treatments for clients of the White & Yellow Cross Foundation who are disabled due to neurological, motoric and orthopedic impairments either congenital or obtained. The goal of the Paramedical department is to provide treatment and guidance for clients with abovementioned disabilities, so the highest level of independent functioning for that client is obtained and secured.

We also organize the reoccurring visits of the Revalidation Physician, and Orthopedic Instrument Maker and Occupational Therapist, these specialists in their field visit St. Maarten on a regular bases from the Mgr. Verriet Institute in CuraƁao and thus extending their expertise to the Clients of the White and Yellow Cross Foundation.
